ABOUT

   Catherine Phelan is an artist who grew up between the cities of Madison, WI, Lombard, IL, and Delano, MN. While in middle school, Catherine was entered in an art competition at the Milwaukee Art Museum. This experience was the beginning of her career choice in the arts.

    She creates in a variety of mediums; 2D, 3D, digital, and mixed media, which has challenged her growth in the field of art. Catherine prefers to work within the area of 2D such as color pencils on black backgrounds and colorful digital artwork. She is also starting to experiment with portrait and nature photography. Past experiences and the emotions that they invoke, provide inspiration for her artwork. Catherine will graduate in the spring of 2022 with a major in Studio Art, and minors in Art History and History with the focus towards graduate school.
